*ZOO TV Tour - 1992-93

The ZOO TV tour was U2's most ambitious...and longest tour; in support of the seminal album, Achtung Baby and then later the Zooropa album. This tour saw U2 first start to go all out on the stage design and audience experience during their concerts. At time of writing this is still the largest tour U2 have undertaken in terms of concerts performed.

The tour started in Arena venues (legs 1 & 2) but the scale of the stage grew and grew until it was best served performing in outdoor stadiums (legs 3, 4 & 5). There were 5 legs to this tour spanning nearly 2 years. They are:

Leg 1 (North America): 29 Feb 1992 > 23 Apr 1992 (32 shows)
Leg 2 (Europe): 7 May 1992 > 19 Jun 1992 (25 shows)
Leg 3 (North America/Outside Broadcast): 7 Aug 1992 > 25 Nov 1992 (47 shows)
Leg 4 (Europe/Zooropa): 7 May 1993 > 28 Aug 1993 (44 shows)
Leg 5 (Zoomerang/New Zooland/Japan): 12 Nov 1993 > 10 Dec 1993 (10 shows)

There were 6 different tour programs released for this tour. Again, a separate program was released for the Japanese shows that contained Japanese text.
